Responsibilities of a Material Handler

  • Construction of mechanical equipment and forklifts.
  • Take samples of customer products for laboratory analysis.
  • Assign codes to customer products.
  • Sanitize trailers and hopper vehicles ready for loading.
  • Inspect equipment regularly every day.
  • Load trailers and hopper cars following established protocols; Repair hopper traffic and containers as required.
  • Move hopper cars and trailers to the warehouse building.
  • Adhere to hygiene and safety standards in the workplace.
  • Prompt completion of all projects and deliverables needed to maintain our on-time value.
  • Prepares and processes all the necessary reports and related paperwork.
  • Operate according to customer requirements, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Accept additional responsibilities as directed.


  • High school graduate or equivalent: High school is worth it.
  • Possession of valid forklift certification.
  • Previous experience as a facilitator is beneficial.
  • Expertise in large-scale manufacturing or routine manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental concerns.

Work Conditions/Schedule

  • Regularly climb stairs and ladders, work at elevated heights, and in dusty settings.
  • Perform duties outdoors in various weather conditions; capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Safely and effectively operate essential mechanical tools.
  • Participate in continental rotating shift work, including alternating weekends, nights (two weeks days followed by two weeks nights), and holidays.
  • Work 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, totalling 80 hours over two weeks.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
