Eligibility Requirements for Queensland University Scholarships

For the Queensland University Scholarship for International Students, candidates need to satisfy the following conditions:

  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the English language.

Science International Scholarship:

  • Qualify as an international student in Australia.

  • Scholarship recipients must start their studies in the semester specified in the UQ offer letter, endeavor to successfully complete the program, allow UQ to publish their name and photo, and provide a testimonial and suitable photo for publication.

UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship:

  • Achieve a minimum ATAR of 99.90 (or equivalent).
  • Complete Year 12 in 2023 or 2022 (if on a gap year).
  • Belong to one of the following categories:
  • An Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa Holder.
  • An Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or international student who completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia.
  • Have not undertaken any prior tertiary study except as part of Year 11–12 studies (e.g., Enhanced Studies Program).
  • Apply for a tertiary place through QTAC and nominate UQ as the 1st QTAC preference by December 18, 2024.
  • Intend to enroll as a full-time student in a UQ undergraduate program in 2024 (or 2025 if deferring tertiary place).
