How to resist temptation and win the battle against lustful desires

⚔️ What is Temptation and Lust?

Temptation

Temptation is when something tries to make you sin. It is an evil thought that comes to your mind. The devil offers you something bad. He wants you to do the wrong thing.

Lust

Lust is a very strong desire for something bad. Lust is usually about wanting sexual things in a wrong way. Lust is a sin. Lust destroys families. Lust ruins lives.

How Temptation Becomes Sin

Temptation is not sin. But if you give in to temptation, then it becomes sin.

Step 1: You have a bad thought.

Step 2: You think about it more.

Step 3: You want to do it.

Step 4: You do it. Now it is sin.

💡 Important: You cannot control bad thoughts coming into your mind. But you CAN control what you do with those thoughts. You can say NO to them.

Is Temptation from God?

No. God does not tempt you to do bad things. Satan tempts you. Bad desires tempt you. The world tempts you. But God never tempts you to sin.
